Last night after dinner, Aviel, Dionne and I headed to Starbucks at Suntec City for a drink. I settled for a hazelnut latte because it was the closest thing to their toffee nut latte, which I badly desired. Sadly, I will have to wait till their Christmas promotions kick in. When my coffee arrived, I took my first sip and realised that despite the strong flavour of hazelnut, it was unusually diluted! Without second thoughts, I promptly approached the barista and requested that my sad excuse for a cup of coffee be replaced.
I must have had real rotten luck because coffee #2 turned out to be a plain latte instead! Grrrrr! I decided not to pursue the matter because I was too fed up and secretly feared that ’extra’ stuff would be added to my coffee – the horror stories of spiteful service providers in the F&B industry! Oh well, at least it was good latte and the foam was of the right consistency. Sometimes, the little things really do make all the difference.
